Who else feels in need of a "spring cleanse"? We sure do!
This month we want to talk to you about "letting go", whether that be physically or mentally. Maybe it's time to release negative feelings or you simply want to empty your closet and donate some things!
It's no doubt getting rid of old things helps you feel more refreshed and "clean". Our living spaces impact our mental state more than we realize. Cluttered or disorganized spaces are more likely to cause feelings of fatigue, overwhelm, hopelessness and higher levels of the stress hormone cortisol. Seeing clutter around you can be draining to your mental health and mood. This is why it's important to keep our living spaces clean and clutter-free!
Living in a clean, organized and minimalistic space quickly helps you feel more "put together". Cleaning and organizing have been linked to decreased feelings of anxiety and also promotes better focus.
If the thought of de-cluttering is overwhelming—start small! You don't need to do it all at once. Tackle one area at a time, pick just one drawer or cabinet to organize. Don't force yourself either, organizing comes best when you are in the mood for it! It's no fun when it's just not the day for it.
Aside from organizing... Setting daily intentions, morning affirmations and meditating are also great ways to improve positivity throughout the day and achieve that feeling of zen. You can do so with the help of our Yogi tea!
Incorporate your daily intentions in your existing morning routine. It is quite simple, you can make time to state your intentions even while your tea is brewing, or while you’re pouring your cup.
You can say things like:
Setting such intentions can really help shift your mindset for the rest of the day.
